The R&D department ensures the concentration of know how on materials, heat and surface treatments, metal processing, research, design and testing. Our experienced engineers work on the development of powertrain systems such as engine timing gears for heavy duty, medium duty and light truck diesel engines. Also the development of balance system drive gears plays an important role in the R&D-activities
The extensive know-how of our continuously well trained design engineers is linked to the most up-to-date CAD facilities and engineering software. The department uses also the newest facilities with the most accurate and modern testing equipment. The engineers have direct access to the Flanders Engineering Test Centre and they can rely on a close cooperation with famous engineering houses in Europe.

The in house laboratory is capable of various chemical and metallurgic research techniques. The materials lab is dedicated to the analysis of ferrous and non-ferrous alloys and to the testing of various fluids.
The R&D department offers a cross-functional team approach with design, analysis, manufacturing, quality, heat treatment, material technology, purchasing and much more to fully satisfy the customer requirements. To enable simultaneous engineering we have resident engineers that will work on site, in close cooperation with the customer’s development team.

Material Technology Center

We have our own Material Technology Center which is continuously in touch with the production departments. The constant process and quality control forms a guarantee for the customers that their products will meet the specified quality requirements.
The Material Technology Center with its laboratory is capable of various chemical and metallurgic research techniques.
The chemical lab is dedicated to the analysis of ferrous and non-ferrous alloys, testing of various fluids (oils and emulsions, chrome, anodising and phosphating baths, ...) and the analysis of the industrial waste water.
The metallurgic research focuses on destructive testing (measurements of hardness, tensile testing, light microscopy, stereomicroscopy, ...) and non-destructive testing (crack detection penetrant method, magnetic particle inspection, ...)
